About MISTER TIGER
Mister Tiger was born from a simple idea: to share the comfort and flavors of the Korean home-cooked meals our grandmother and mother lovingly prepared throughout our childhood.
Located on Grand Avenue in Chicagoβs West Town, Mister Tiger is an authentic Korean restaurant pairing traditional Korean cooking with a modern, lively, and welcoming atmosphere. Our menu is rooted in family recipes, Korean tradition, and the dishes we grew up eating, recreated with care and perfected from memory.
Led by Chef-Owner Min Lee, the kitchen serves unapologetically authentic Korean food, including signature dishes like woodae galbi, uni rice, spicy baby back ribs, Korean BBQ, traditional Korean stews, and comforting rice dish

4.5 experience rounded to 5! Two of us ordered: banchan set (one refill) included calamari muchim $20 woodae galbi $65 galbi fried rice $18 -2 white rice included I think with woodae galbi more rice please $16 cass $8 milk ice cream bingsoo $12 comped David provided attentive service. Staff brought out calamari..spilled some on table accidentally and mentioned would bring a bit more as a replacement, but ended up getting offered dessert as comp. Galbi cooked well: recommendation to put the meat on an elevated rack of some sort, so oil doesn't make the meat soggy if you don't eat it super quick. Overall, great flavors, great service, and a great time!

As a Korean food lover, Mister Tiger was such a great experience. Itβs a family-owned upscale restaurant where everything, from the service to the handcrafted cocktails and food, was exceptional. The space has a clean, rustic ambiance. While the dΓ©cor isnβt overly flashy, it feels warm and thoughtfully designed. The cocktails were some of the best Iβve had, and the standout dishes were the beef ribs and the uni rice. The service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. Iβd definitely recommend Mister Tiger for a date night or dinner with friends. It was a bit loud when we first walked in, but after settling in with a drink or two, the atmosphere felt lively rather than overwhelming.

First time visiting this awesome neighborhood spot. Came in with friends for a quick byte. We tried their hamachi crudo in a spicy broth, fried chicken and galbijiim. Everything was so delicious. Secret stash is amazing cocktail! Music is great, feels fun and modern. Will be back for sure for their happy hour.

Mister Tiger is a 5 star experience from start to finish. Edison lighting and a neon tiger set a vibey mood upon entering the intimate dining room. Each bite of food only adds to my love of this spot for Chicago restaurant week. Food reviews: Banchan set--cucumber kimchi was crispy and nicely balanced with a subtle spice! Potato salad, cabbage kimchi, and fish cakes were all just okay Korean chicken--favorite app of the night! The exterior was crispy without being overly heavy. The sauce also packed a powerful flavor punch without overwhelming the bite. Rice cakes had nice texture to break up bites of chicken. Jeon--beautiful contrast between crispy exterior and silky interior. Could use a flavor boost on its own but was elevated nicely with the chili oil served with it Bulgogi bibimbap--no notes on this dish! Each element added something to the bowl and the crispy rice on the bottom delivered! I loved adding the gochujang to make the spice sing. Banana chocolate cannoli--such a fun flavor combo on a classic dessert. Filling was beautiful, silky and balanced both flavors well
